LOTS OF WORK HAPPENED

Seems like a lot of projects have finally come to an end recently - I've put 5 new projects on my website and this is some work I'm doing with George for Krista Hendriksen - her third year collection is based on jelly!

150 YRS OF LONDON UNDERGROUND

Tube poster project with George Newton - typographic representations of the different sized gaps between the train and the platform edge at different stations on 7 of the main lines.

A FINISHED MOSAIC

AFTER ALL THAT

All that time faffing around with the other design, and I've done this in about an hour, and like it more x100.

Inspired by the description of Marlowe's office, with it's 'net curtains that needed laundering' and 'venerable magazines... to give the place a professional touch', the design is intended to hint at several elements of the complex plot. The notion of outwardly glamorous appearences, tarnished reputations and sordid deeds all add to the many layers of the story; a murder mystery that takes place in the smoggy haze of Los Angeles. 

The colour scheme is influenced by the strong female presence in the book as well as being a nod towards a bloody gunshot wound.
